Question: What does Air Purifier remove from the air?

Air Purifier filters pollutants from the air, depending on types of filters used in various stages. AERATE air purifier cleans the air by removing very harmful air pollutants through its unique Aeranano Technology that contains 8 advanced filtration layers.

Elementary Filter Layer, which consists of an aluminum frame, 0.3 aluminum mesh and primary efficiency filter cotton. It removes dandruff, hairs, dust, larger particles etc. This filter can reduce user’s maintenance costs if cleaned regularly.

A-HEPA Filter layer: HEPA is short for High Efficiency Air Filter, which is considered to be the best filter in the world. Our Advanced HEPA filter is made of unique fiber and can efficiently remove the allergens like dust, pollens, bacteria and germs, secondary smoke, and other small particles of 0.0003mm, with 99% or more purification rate.

Activated Carbon (AC) Filter Layer: Activated carbon works via a process called Adsorption, whereby pollutant molecules are trapped inside the pore structure of the carbon substrate. Carbon filtering is commonly used for water purification, in air purifiers, industrial gas processing, respirator masks, cigarette filters.

Composite Filter Layer: This hybrid filtration, effectively removes the allergens in the air, such as pollens, Mites, dust, mold spores, textile fiber and other micro particles. It also removes larger particles such as dander, hair, dust, cigarette smoke, garbage odor and other peculiar smell with PM2.5 purification ratio of 99%, minimum particles more than 0.02 μm and the anti-bacterial sterilization performance reaching to more than 99%, promoting metabolism and enhancing immunity with strong dust removal performance.

UV Filter Layer: The UV layer sterilizes the air for protection against a variety of bacteria, fungi and molds, ammonia, formaldehyde, etc.

Ionizer Filter Layer: At this layer, negatively charged ions bind with dust, smog, germs and viruses suspended in the room. These ultra-fine particles are very difficult to remove by normal filters, but can be efficiently eliminated by this advanced technology.

Question: Why do I need an air purifier?

In India, many people live in an area where pollution levels are often too dangerous to breathe. That being said, not many people know that an average indoor air is two to five times worse than outdoor air, and it can be up to a hundred times worse. We know it's hard to imagine, but our indoor air is chockfull of pollutants such as dust, pollen, mold, radon, carbon monoxide, and other dangerous chemicals. These pollutants contribute to asthma, lung disease, lung cancer, and other health issues, and are especially dangerous to children and old people with compromised immune system. The regular use of an air purifier removes these dangerous particles from the air and lowers the risk of related health issues. They also offer relief to people suffering from allergies and asthma.

Question: How do I choose an air purifier?

We recommend considering a few factors if you are looking to buy an air purifier. To properly compare products, you should consider room size, Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR), energy consumption and filter types.

1.     The first thing to consider when buying an air purifier is the size of the room you want to buy the unit for. Air purifiers are created for particular room sizes and are tested and rated based on their recommended room size. As a rule, always buy an air purifier which is same or larger than the size recommended for your room.

2.     A second, and possibly the most important aspect to consider when comparing air purifiers, is the clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). The CADR is the rating which measures the efficiency of an air purifier and is given by an independent organization; the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM). This certification is voluntary and measures the volume of clean air produced each minute, taking the room size into account. Measuring in cubic meter per hour (or, cubic feet per minute), the higher the CADR, the better the air purifier.

3.     When it comes to air purification there are four different types of filters to choose from – HEPA, Ionic, UV, and carbon. It's important to look at the pros of each filter type and to choose the one or combination of two or more, that best fits your need. HEPA filter removes dust, pollen, mold, allergens and bacteria. Ionic filters use negatively charged ions to attract positive airborne particles in the air, weighing down the particles so that they fall to the floor. This type of air filtration only removes airborne particles and is unable to remove particles from surfaces in the room. Air purifiers that use UV in light use electromagnetic radiation to destroy bacteria and viruses. Activated carbon filters work through a chemical reaction with pollutants as they pass through the absorbent pores of the filter. They are highly effective at removing the chemical fumes, toxic gases, smoke and odors.

Question: Can AERATE purifiers remove smoke and harmful gases?

Yes. Our filters are specifically designed for environments with tobacco smoke, auto exhaust, chemical fumes, odors, and harmful VOCs. We use activated carbon, formulated with a unique blend of Potassium Hydroxide and Potassium Iodide, to trap gases and fumes and remove them from your air.

Question: Does using a AERATE system have any environmental impact?

AERATE air purification systems offer exceptional performance with minimal impact on the environment. We have designed every component to improve both human and environmental health, from the non-toxic filter media to the exterior finish. Our units are energy efficient and are constructed of superior materials for an exceptionally long service life. All components are recyclable.

Question: How can I get the most from my AERATE system?

For details about usage, please check the user manual that came with the product or download it from our website.

Question: How often should I change the filter in my AERATE unit?

The filter should be changed every six months to keep your AERATE unit working at its highest efficiency.

Question: My unit has suddenly turned off and won’t start again. Is there something I can do to fix?

If you are having trouble getting your unit to Turn ON, first try the plug on the bottom of the unit. Most of our units have detachable plugs that may slip out occasionally. If the unit or cord has moved while cleaning, check the cord by gently placing your unit on its side, remove the plug and re-plug it in with a push. If that doesn't work, call our customer service.
